Manchester United are set to miss their key players ahead of their semifinal match against Coventry City.

The Red Devils will trade tackles with Coventry City for a place in the 2024 FA Cup final where they will take on either Chelsea or Manchester City.

The game, scheduled for Sunday, April 21, will be a tricky affair for United, who have been below par this season.

Coventry City, plying their trade in the English second tier, are pushing for promotion to the English topflight. They knocked out Wolves 3-2 to reach the last four, and will apparently not be intimated by an inconsistent United side.

Moreso, they have been handed a big boost with the Old Trafford outfit reeling under the plague of injury ahead of the match.

Speaking ahead of the match, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed a number of key names in the United squad will miss the match. Tyrell Malacia, who has yet to taste action for the club this term, is still on the sidelines.

England left-back, Luke Shaw, is also still nursing his injury, including Lisandro Martinez and Johnny Evans.

While United’s injury crisis at the defense deepens, Ten Hag confirmed he is expecting some reinforcements with the team handed an injury boost in the attack.

Antony and Scott McTominay, who were also nursing injuries, are reportedly set to return to action.

“I am expecting Antony and Scott McTominay to be back for the game. They have been back to the turf,” Ten Hag said.

The FA Cup is United’s only hope of a possible silverware this season. Ten Hag has been under pressure to deliver and has been linked to a possible dismissal from his role at the end of the season if United end the season without a silverware.
