Manchester United are reportedly ready to overhaul the current squad with the majority of the players likely to be sold..

It is understood that Manchester United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is head-on with his overhaul of the club’s administrative cadre, will do the same with the playing staff in the summer.

The recruitment of Omar Berrada as the club’s new CEO from the elite coaching hierarchy of cross-city rivals Manchester City signaled the readiness of the INEOS supremo to touch on the players’ block soon in his overhaul.

The football enthusiast doubling as an investor was reportedly moved by Berrada’s austere, calculative, and analytical approach to players’ management which has contributed to the rise of City.

Berrada has been tipped by Sir Jim Ratcliffe to do the same at Manchester United with an emphasis on the players’ productivity in contract talks and negotiations, including renewals.

According to Daily Mail, Omar Berrada is set to begin implementation of this signature approach at United in the summer with a lot of first-team players likely to face the axe.

Leading the list of key names that could face the axe in the summer is former Real Madrid sensation Casemiro, who has struggled for form, unlike his debut campaign for the Red Devils.

He has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia should he leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are already on the chopping block and will leave the club in the summer as free agents.

Jadon Sancho and Donny van Beek, who are on loan to Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively, are also set to be axed in the summer.

Other United loanees such as Hannibal Mejbri and Facundo Peliistri are also facing an uncertain future at the club.

Sofyan Amrabat, who joined the club on loan from Florentina, is set to return to the Serie A side at the end of the season.

Marcus Rashford is among the big-name stars that may leave in the wake of the planned reshuffle, as per the reports.

According to the Telegraph, only three unnamed Man United players may survive the massive summer overhaul. The report adds the club are set to weigh up all possible options and streamline the squad with only the most productive players to be retained.
