Manchester United are among the latest slew of clubs that have indicated interest in signing Jude Bellingham. However, they have been said to be secret admirers of the England star since his days at Birmingham City.

There were rumors of Bellingham joining Manchester United before he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2020 from Birmingham. His parents reportedly visited Carrington and met Manchester United officials, including former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, nothing was ascertained between Bellingham’s parents and Manchester United after the visit. The budding football talent later moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he established himself as one of the most promising young talents to watch out for.

Now, Manchester United is keen on making a move for the 19-year-old in the January transfer window. The Old Trafford club wants to woe Bellingham to Old Trafford with the promise of building Man United’s future around the young star.

Manchester United’s chances of signing Jude Bellingham will be very low, given the lack of Champions League football compared to rival Premier League clubs interested in striking a deal with Bellingham.

Liverpool, followed by Manchester City, is ahead of other clubs in the race to sign Bellingham. Hence, it is very unlikely Erik Ten Hag will rub shoulders with Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola to sign Bellingham.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have reportedly renewed their interest in signing out-of-favor Barcelona and former Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
