Manchester United beat Manchester City in a controversial Derby with two late goals from Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.
After Jack Grealish, a replacement, headed City ahead from Kevin de Bruyne’s cross on the hour, it appeared that they were getting closer to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
However, United stunned their supporters with an incredible comeback.
With 12 minutes remaining, Erik ten Hag’s team controversially tied the score when Bruno Fernandes scored while Marcus Rashford was in an offside position, despite City’s claims that he had interfered with play.
Four minutes later, Rashford played a key role once more as he swept in Alejandro Garnacho’s cross at the Stretford End to get United within one point of City, who are still five points behind Arsenal.
At Old Trafford, the Manchester derby between the two titans produced a fun game as the red side of Manchester came from behind to win all three points.
Both teams made a significant effort to penetrate the defense of the other team in the first half, which ended scoreless.
Manchester’s sky-blue team had 69% of the possession, compared to 31% for the home team. United attempted four goals, two of which were on target, compared to City’s two attempts and no goals.
Grealish, who replaced Foden in the 57th minute, scored City’s first goal. Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, even the score in the 78th minute.
After three minutes, Rashford scored with Garnacho’s help to put the Reds ahead of the Citizens.
