The 2022/23 FA Cup final will be a match to watch, an unprecedented Manchester Derby featuring the two Manchester club.

Manchester City overcame Sheffield United 3-0 thanks to a record breaking hattrick by Riyad Mahrez.

Lindelof scored the last penalty that sent Manchester United to their 21st FA Cup final to be played at Wembley.

The first 12 spot-kicks of the penalty shootout had been scored before Solly March stepped up and missed.

Despite great form under manager Roberto De Zerbi, March ballooned his penalty high into the stands.

That miss gave Lindelof the opportunity to break the hearts of Brighton’s fans furthermore.

Brighton started the game stronger than Manchester United in what is their first FA Cup semi finals in their history.

They dominated the possession throughout the game, a thing they have been doing under manager De Zerbi.

The seagulls however failed to convert the control to chances as starlet Julio Enciso and Solly March’s effort were saved.

Bruno Fernandes also had a chance for United but the matchs best chance was missed by Danny Welbeck.

At 90 minutes, it was still goalless as Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez only broke a sweat in few instances.

Manchester United’s leading goalscorer Marcus Rashford endured a frustrating afternoon and couldn’t finish from outside the box.

He made a nice swerving efforts and it was given an extra kick by a deflection but Sanchez managed to stretch out a paw to meet the ball in the 105th minute.

Manchester United under Erik ten Hag have already won the League Cup at Wembley this season, beating Newcastle in the February final. They will now attempt to win their second title of the season by beating their city rivals in the FA Cup showpiece.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also pushing to become the first team since Manchester United in 1999 to win the treble.

This alone gives the Red Devils even more incentive to prevail on Saturday 3 June – though Manchester City are seen as favorites for the title.
