    Sergio Aguero was left furious after finding himself on the receiving end of a dangerous challenge during a seven-a-side encounter at a TST7v7 tournament.

    Aguero took part in the TST7v7 tournament in North Carolina, United States Of America. During the game, the retired Argentina international was seen incensed.

    The event includes clubs from across the globe with many former professional footballers taking part and contesting for the grand prize of $1 million.

    Sergio Aguero has his team in the tournament and during the first game of the competition on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, emotions reached boiling point.

    As the attacker dribbled towards the area on the ball, he was halted by a crunching studs-up challenge from a defender on the opposing team.

    The former Barcelona man screamed and fell to the turf, gesturing that he had been hurt, whilst rolling and holding his shin with fans in the crowd left gasping.

    Aguero subsequently got to his feet and moved straight to the player who did the nasty tackle, pushing and squaring up to him furiously as they ranted at each other.

    The argument continued for some seconds before a teammate of Sergio Aguero aggravated the matter with another push on the defender.

    Anyway, things then swiftly became calm, but Sergio Aguero was seen pointing out the damage to his leg to the referee in charge of the affair.

    Moreover, Aguero’s team fell to a 6-3 defeat, and that has seen them slump to the bottom spot of their group after one game.

    What Is The TST7v7 Competition?

    The TST7v7 tournament includes 48 teams from across the world and many former players are also taking part in the tournament.

    Aguero is one of the ex-players involved in the competition as the Argentine looks to continue playing after several heart problems, which led to him calling time on his football career in 2021.

    Other stars participating in the tournament include former Manchester United winger Luis Nani, and Mario Balotelli, who provided the assist to Sergio Aguero for Manchester City’s famous 2011/12 Premier League triumph.

    Danny Simpson, who won the English top-flight title with Leicester City during the 2015/16 season is also taking part in the tournament alongside Watford legend Troy Deeney.

    Former Manchester City star Stephen Ireland and Manchester United Academy player Tom Hiddleston are also featuring in the competition.

    Ex-Wigan and Hull City man Maynor Figueroa alongside Italian great Marco Materazzi are part of the event.

    Giuseppe Rossi, Sebastian Giovinco, Lee Trundle, and Cruz Beckham are also involved in the seven-a-side tourney.

    The aforementioned set of retired stars will all be picking up their boots from where they were hanged, and having seen Sergio Aguero’s opening game, the tournament will certainly be highly competitive. 

    It will be interesting to see which team goes home with the crown and prize money at the end of the day.
