Manchester City have completed the signing of Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of €62 million.
Nunes has signed a five-year deal with the Citizens, which will see him remain at the Etihad at least until June 30, 2028.
Confirming the arrival of Matheus Nunes to the club, Manchester City put out a statement which reads:
“Manchester City are delighted to announce the signing of Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five-year deal.”
He becomes the 4th signing for Manchester City this summer, having signed Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic, and Jérémy Doku.
Matheus Nunes made 41 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers last season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists across all competitions.

Speaking concerning his arrival to Manchester City, Nunes expressed his happiness at joining the Premier League champions.
He said: “I’m very happy of course to be here. It’s a dream come true, I always wanted to play for a big club in England and this year God blessed me with that.”
The Portuguese also revealed several reasons that influenced his decision to join Manchester City. He expressed that playing under Pep Guardiola was a big factor, and the Etihad Club are a club with the “best structure”.
Matheus Nunes said: “The coach as well. I mean it’s a huge club, it has a lot of the best you can get, the best opportunities, the best structure.”
The 25-year-old joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Sporting CP on August 18, 2022, for a fee of €45 million.
The Portugal international will be teaming up with compatriot Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, and possibly Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo has been linked with a move to Barcelona, and it appears that the deal is close to being completed.

Manchester City supporters will be banking on Nunes to provide his quota to a star-studded team, who are aiming to win the Premier League title for the fourth season in a row.
The Citizens remain unbeaten in the 2023/24 season, with three wins from three matches.
They defeated Burnley by 3-0 in their opening game of the league season, before recording a 1-0 win over Newcastle United.
The Manchester-based side afterward defeated Sheffield United by 2-1 on Matchday 3 of the 2023/24 season.
Meanwhile, Matheus Nunes has made 11 appearances for the senior men’s national team of Portugal, scoring 1 goal and providing no assist.
