Man City striker Sergio Aguero named Premier League transfer of the decade

Sergio Aguero has been labeled the best signing of the previous decade. With the Argentine steadily improving his form, it’s not brained he would be giving such a title. English former professional football player and manager, Chris Sutton agrees with this. Sutton, stayed he believes Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero is the best signing of the previous decade in the Premier League. 

The Argentine, was in great form against Aston Villa and scored a hat-trick at Sunday derby. Thanks to his hat-trick, the City striker has now surpass Thierry Henry’s record of 175 goals to become the most prolific overseas player in competition history, and also go past Alan Shearer’s hat-trick record in England’s top-flight.

The Argentine superstar has now recorded am impressive 177 goals for the Blues and Sutton believes he is the closest thing to Shearer.

“Oh yes,” Sutton replied when asked on BBC Radio 5 Live whether he was the best signing of the previous decade in the Premier League. “I think it is fair to say when City signed him people were questioning him. Who is he? Can he score the goals?” He added.

The 31-year-old joined Manchester City in 2011 from Spanish club Atletico Madrid and quickly established himself as a major talent, and a powerful goal-scorer. “He’s one of the most incredible players I’ve seen in this league,” Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said.
