Pep Guardiola revealed in post-match press conference he will hope to play Erling Haaland against Young Boys but will have to speak with the team’s doctor first.

“We will speak with the doctor – I don’t know.”

Guardiola added: “I will listen to the doctors. If [the doctor] says he is ready and does not have pain I will consider him to play.

“Yesterday he told me he felt much better than the day of the game.”

Erling Haaland’s injury blow would prove a deep blow to City who are sweating with Kevin De Bruyne’s injury. They recently welcomed Bernardo Silva back to the team from the sidelines but De Bruyne will face a longer spell on the sidelines due to a harmstring issue.
