Kylian Mbappe may likely take his prolific firepower to the Premier League next season as Liverpool have opened talks with PSG to sign him.

It is understood Mbappe wants a move to Real Madrid next summer but the French star could taste from the Premier League pond in the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Big Premier League clubs have been linked to Mbappe since his contract standoff with PSG surfaced. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, including Tottenham have all been linked to the 2022 World Cup top scorer.

Mbappe’s Manchester United link took center stage when reports emerged Qatari investor, Shiekh Jassim, was closing in on taking over the club.

Every club will want to have a striker of Mbappe’s pedigree to torment opponents and unleash threats in the final third but Mbappe seems to have make his stand clear – he is not moved by a club’s financial offer but project package.

Mbappe had said no to prospects of playing for Tottenham but was reportedly impressed of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal project and would prefer a move to the red side of London if he wanted to join the Premier League.

Another Premier League club that have also been fancied by the highly-rated forward is Liverpool. Mbappe revealed Liverpool were interested in a move for him when he was at Monaco. His mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, is also said to be an avid Liverpool fan – a passion she shares with her son.

“We talked a little bit, but not too much.

“I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.

“I don’t know why, you will have to ask her! It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club,” Mbappe told the Telegraph.

Liverpool open talks for Kylian Mbappe

Amid the lingering contract stand-off with PSG, Liverpool have opened talks to sign Kylian Mbappe on loan.

Daily Mirror reported that Liverpool are in talks with PSG to broker an agreement on a one-year loan deal for Kylian Mbappe.

Futballnews understands PSG have accepted Al Hilal’s £259m offer for Kylian Mbappe but the French star is not ready to join the Saudi club.

Relevo say Kylian Mbappe is ready to sit out on the bench and run out the remaining one year of his contract at Parc des Princes and then leave to Real Madrid on a free transfer after next season but PSG do not want that to happen and are ready to sell him this summer.

Liverpool’s interest is coming as another solution angle to the lingering faceoff between the two parties.

Liverpool will cover Mbappe’s wages for the next one year before leaving to Real Madrid while PSG will also raked some money into their coffers from the loan deal.

However, it is understood Liverpool’s possible loan offer will be far below Al Hilal’s record bid for Kylian Mbappe hence the likelihood of brokering such a deal with PSG is very low as the club insists on recouping the £151m they spent in signing Mbappe from Monaco in 2018.
