FC Barcelona star, Lionel Messi decided to take his son, Ciro out for a cup of coffee amid uncertainty concerning his future at the Spanish giants.

In an Instagram post the 33-year-old Argentine football icon shared recently, Messi was seen seated with his three-year-old son. In the picture, the record 6-time Ballon d’Or winner and his son had a cup of coffee on the table while they posed for a shot.

The football icon wrote in the caption that he was having coffee with his son whom he described as a Batman, a comic character whose symbol could be seen in Ciro’s shirt.

“Here having coffee ☕️ with Batman”, Lionel Messi who is at the tail end of his contract with FC Barcelona wrote in Spanish.

Ciro is the last born of Messi. He was born in March 2018 through the wife of the footballer Antonella Roccuzzo who has been with Messi long before he became a football superstar.

Before Ciro was born, Lionel Messi and Roccuzzo have had two sons – Thiago and Mateo. Thiago was born on 2 November 2012 while Mateo was born in April 2015.

Taking about Lionel Messi’s time at FC Barcelona, there are strong speculations that the Argentine football icon might be offered 10 years deal by the club before his contract with the club expires this summer.

Reports say the contract would cater to the footballer’s active time and retirement period. It would also give the 33-year-old footballer the freedom to join any Major League Soccer club of his choice whenever he wishes.

However, it was reported that Lionel Messi would have to accept a pay cut before Barcelona could offer him such a deal.

Also, there are reports that Manchester United and Chelsea have been contacted over a possible move for the football icon. If that is anything to go by, the two Premier League clubs could join Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City who have already been linked to a deal for Messi who will be a free agent this summer.

Amid all these, Messi who made his desire known that he wished to leave Barcelona in August last year, had scored 38 goals and provided 14 assists in 47 games in all competitions this season but his effort couldn’t help Barcelona to win this season’s La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
