Lionel Messi is on the verge of launching a “next-generation” hydration drink in the summer of 2024, as he continues to make plans for life after football.
The Argentine football icon, who is at the twilight of his stellar career, is seamlessly heading into the business world, as he has partnered with Mark Anthony Brands to produce a hydration drink.
Messi, who has in the past shared that he is not fascinated about becoming a football manager, is excited about the project, as he hasn’t done anything similar to it in the past.

Speaking in a presser, the 36-year-old said: “I’m so excited about this, I’m invested as an owner. I’ve never done anything like this before.”
This definitely is a massive step in the life of Messi, and as earlier indicated, this could be an area he could focus on when he retires from the beautiful game of football.
Lionel Messi uploaded a video on his Instagram page where he was seen walking through the manufacturing facility where the hydration drink is being produced and talking with various executives as they all anticipate the release of the product.
The Inter Miami attacker captioned the post which he shared on Instagram with the following words: “We’ve been hard at work preparing for the launch of our new hydration drink, because hydration is so important for everyone, and we want to make sure we get it right.
“We’ve just returned from the facility where we checked in on our progress, and learned exactly how my next-generation hydration drink is being made.”
The hydration drink is yet to be named, however, he was seen alongside his wife Antonela Roccuzzo inspecting the facility that will be used in the production.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi will return to action on Sunday, May 5, 2024, when Inter Miami takes on the New York Red Bulls at the Chase Stadium.
The Herons sit at the summit of the Eastern Conference with 21 points from 11 matches played, winning 6 matches, drawing 3, and 2 defeats.
Messi has been quaking this campaign, as he aims to guide Inter Miami to success this season.
