“I wish you the best in your new stage and always, both you and your family.”

Messi added; “Thank you for on and off the pitch, there were so many moments we spent together, many good and some also complicated, and they will stay forever, Big hug, @5sergiob”.

Sergio Busquets has made 719 appearances for the Spanish powerhouse since breaking into the first team in 2008.

The 34-year-old Busquets is out of contract at the end of June and will be moving on to new pastures.

However, FC Barcelona offered Sergio a new contract which would have led him to take a 70 percent salary deduction but he turned it down.

Al-Hilal, a team in the Saudi Pro League, has reportedly made Busquets an offer of around £13 million per season to join the team.

It has been reported that Al-Hilal is also interested in acquiring Jordi Alba, a longtime defender for Barcelona.

Al-Hilal, a Saudi Arabian club, has been mentioned as a possible destination for a reunion between Messi and Busquets.

Although his departure from PSG is widely anticipated, Messi’s father Jorge has denied reports that he has already agreed to terms with Al-Hilal that would see his son earn £522 million annually.

Messi could still sign with Barcelona this summer, but if he does, Busquets won’t be on the field with him.

On the other hand, Pedri Gonzalez also pays tribute to Busquets via his Instagram post.
