Star forward Kylian Mbappe has received a ton of praise from Lionel Messi.

However, there are many uncertainties surrounding France as they strive to defend their World Cup title this winter.

Kylian Mbappe‘s teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi, has recently described why Mbappe is a “beast” and a “complete player” on the verge of greatness.

With a phenomenal record of 181 goals over 226 appearances for the defending Ligue 1 champions, the World Cup-winning France international forward has already earned his place among the world’s top players.

Despite this, he is only 23 years old and a seven-time  Ballon d’Or winner Messi thinks the promising talent is poised to solidify a place among the greats in the nearest future.

Speaking on Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi told TUDN that: “Kylian Mbappe is a different player, a beast who is very strong in one-on-one situations, who goes into space, who is very fast, and who scores a lot of goals.

“He has demonstrated for years that he is a complete player, and in the years to come, he will undoubtedly rank among the best”.

The Brazilian superstar Neymar, a player Messi has worked with at Barcelona and PSG, has also been the subject of discussion. Messi said of the South American: “With Neymar, we know each other by heart. We enjoyed a lot of time together in Barcelona.

“Though life brought us back together in Paris, we are thrilled to be together. I love playing with him and spending time with him every day. I wish I had been able to do it for longer in Barcelona”.

PSG leads the French Ligue 1 table after eight games of the new season with 22 points out of a possible 24 and a massive 26 goals scored. For the reigning champions, Messi and Neymar each contributed seven assists, which was a significant contribution.

Four years after Neymar made the world-record switch from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, the two were reunited at Parc des Princes.

Before that, though, they joined up with Luis Suarez to form the deadly “MSN” strike force, which was instrumental in the Catalan club’s Champions League victory in the 2014/2015 campaign.

Barcelona’s victory in the 2015 Champions League final is still their most recent triumph in the competition, as PSG failed to capitalize on a front three of Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe in 2017 final.

After being questioned about the Mbappe situation this week amid rumors of a fall-out between the French striker and teammate Neymar, Messi took some time to think back on his time at Camp Nou.

Messi’s remarks came at a time when Neymar and Mbappe seem to be at odds.

During the international break, the Brazilian superstar avoided a question about his club colleague, but Mbappe’s remarks about on-pitch independence suggested a gulf between club and country.

Messi has reportedly been compelled to mediate a dispute between the two after they disagreed on the order in which Christophe Galtier’s team should take penalties.

Despite this, PSG has had a solid start in Europe, with Mbappe and Neymar combining effectively to defeat Juventus before the Ligue 1 team defeated Maccabi Haifa in their UEFA Champions League second group match.

The Argentine international only made 11 shots on goal in all competitions for PSG last season, but with the World Cup coming up in November, he has looked more like himself this season and has already scored six goals and provided eight assists.
