Lionel Messi earns an estimated salary within the region of £52million per year and a reported £1million per week.

The Argentine has not really blossomed at Paris Saint Germain, but his greatness is never in doubt and due to his heroics at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Paris Saint Germain are looking to extend the contract of the superstar.

The football legend has scored twenty-six (26) goals in sixty (60) appearances for the Paris based side with the 2022/23 season looking like his best season with the Parisians in terms of numbers.

According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, first meeting between representatives of Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain took place on Wednesday.

On present ground, there has been no full agreement on the length of contract, salary range as other details and information would be discussed between both parties again.

The information gathered didn’t include the timeframe when Messi would sign the new deal as more negotiations are expected to be held in the coming weeks.
