Lionel Messi and his wife are known to be two lovers who mix business with pleasure a lot. They don’t miss opportunities to take themselves out. Recall that before Messi joined PSG from FC Barcelona in August 2021, he took his wife and his children – Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro to Miami in the United States for a summer holiday.

When he returned to Spain after about two weeks in Miami, he took his wife to Ibiza for another round of holiday while he was waiting for Barcelona to offer him a new contract.

Amidst the fun he was having, Barcelona confirmed that the club was not financially capable of offering him a new contract. Hence, he and his family had to move to Paris to join PSG.

Over the years, the city of Paris has been one of the most popular holiday destinations for many tourists across the world. This means that Messi would not have to spend so much or travel too far to give his wife the best vacation possible.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge Messi who serves as the footballer’s agent, has insisted that he does not have anything against FC Barcelona despite failing to offer his son a new contract.

The football agent who stated this after Messi made his debut for PSG on Sunday, against Reims in the 66th minute of the game, said he does not feel hurt about how Barcelona handled his son’s failed contract renewal process.

“No, with the club no,” he told Gol TV. “[I feel hurt] by some people, but that’s that.”

When asked how he felt when he saw Lionel Messi play for PSG for the first time on Sunday, August 29, after 17 years at FC Barcelona, Jorge said “that’s life”.
