Liam Goodenough, sometimes known as Mr DT of AFTV, is a webcast host and You-tuber. He runs a non-association football team, DT FC, and a YouTube channel with over 259,000 subscribers and 61 million views.
He had previously spent his days in prison after being apprehended for abusing his ex-partner. He had been out of jail for a month and his sentence had been extended until January 13 by the court.
On November 5, 2021, at Aylesbury Crown Court, he received his initial 12-month sentence, as well as a ten-year restraining order.
“Liam Goodenough, 42, pursued his former partner while she went on a date, sending jealous texts to the victim’s brother threatening suicide and demanding to know the victim’s location,” according to gov.uk.
Goodenough traveled to the hotel where the victim was staying and verbally abused her, as well as beating her companion, using a tracking device on her phone. He then continued to picture her fully clothed.
“Goodenough pulled the woman from her hotel room to his car, implying that he carried a knife and that her son was in the car.” When she realized her son was not in the car, she attempted to flee. A witness interfered, allowing the victim to exit the vehicle while Goodenough escaped.”
The Solicitor General referred Goodenough’s 12-month sentence to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) procedure. It was raised to three years on January 13 when it was determined to be too lenient.
“Goodenough exposed the victim to a horrific and terrifying ordeal,” said Solicitor General Alex Chalk QC MP. I referred his punishment because I thought it was too light and did not reflect the seriousness of the offense. I am relieved that the Court of Appeal has reached the same conclusion.”
