Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig could announce the arrival of attacking midfielder, Lazar Samardzic from Hertha Berlin after the completion of his medicals and other minor details.
Samardzic, who came for his medical and put pen to paper on a five-year deal recently returned from the camp of the Germany under-20 team playing Under 21 Euros qualifiers.
He will now join Hee-Chan Hwang, who was signed from RB Salzburg as the new signings. With this development, Leipzig has won the battle for the signature of the young lad who can play in the wings as well.
Bild reports that the midfield talent comes to Leipzig, who won the battle for his signature against Bayern and Barcelona also keen on him.
Samardzic scored 14 goals in 16 games with the U19 this season. He also played three games for the Hertha Berlin senior squad after the Corona break.
The German media reported that the fee for his signature should be less than 1 million euros.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig is also chasing 24-year-old Alexander Sørloth (24).
Although, they had valued the Norwegian around 18 million Euros but his club, Trabzonspor want 20 million plus six million euros in bonuses for him.
If Leipzig agrees to the term, it means Crystal Palace, the previous club of Sørloth will make six million euros from the deal.
