Laura, wife of Leandro Trossard, has expressed her delight after her hubby sealed a move to Arsenal.
After 121 appearances for Brighton and weaving himself into the storied success of Brighton under former manager Graham Potter, Trossard completed a big move to Arsenal and has been promised to be a key part of the Arsenal project under Mikel Arteta.
The Brighton star joined the North London club after the Gunners agreed a £27million deal with the Seagulls.
Before completing the deal, Leandro Trossard fell out with new Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and was dropped in the Seagull’s last two matches before his departure.
Leandro Trossard was part of Belgium’s 2022 World Cup squad and had made 24 appearances for the national team since making his debut.
Since joining Brighton in 2019, Leandro Trossard has been phenomenal for the Seagulls. He scored a hat-trick against Liverpool in October 2021 and hit his 100th club career goal against Manchester City this season.
He has made 16 appearances for the Seagulls this season and scored 7 goals before completing Arsenal move.
Last days faceoff with Roberto De Zerbi was not a surprise. An interest from a club as big as Arsenal was enough to sway the the 28-year-old Belgian.
Leandro Trossard’s move to Arsenal is a stepping stone in his career. It will be a great opportunity for the highly-rated former Genk star to be an integral part of Gunner’s Premier League title run.
After Trossard agreed personal terms and completed Arsenal medical, his wife Laura Hilven celebrated the transfer on social media.
Laura Hilven posted an edited picture of Trossard in an Arsenal shirt to her Instagram story, and wrote: “That’s my man.”
Leandro Trossard and Laura Hilven got married in 2019 when he joined Brighton. The happy couple have only one child together, Thiago.
Arsenal quickly completed the Trossard deal with Brighton after their move for Mykhailo Mudryk was hijacked by Chelsea.
They are still interested in signing other top-rated stars like Declan Rice from West Ham and Youri Tielemans of Leicester City.
It is believed Leandro Trossard will be a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s resurgent Arsenal squad as they pressed on with their attempt to win the Premier League title for the first time in 9 years.
