Manchester United are reportedly locked in a tight race with Premier League rivals Liverpool for the signatory of Leny Yoro.
Yoro, 18, plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 side Rennes. The Red Devils reportedly want Yoro to fill the gap created by Raphael Varane, who left the club as a free agent this summer.
2023-24 LaLiga and European champions Real Madrid are also said to be interested in the 18-year-old to prepare for a transition in Los Blancos defence with Dani Carvajal, Anthony Rudiger, Nacho, including Mendes, nearing the twilights.
Manchester United legendary defender and pundit Rio Ferdinand has backed the club to make a swoop for Kevin Danso, 25. Danso plays as a defender for Lens in the French elite division. The Austria international is regarded as a top-class defender and is reportedly eyed by several Premier League clubs this summer, as per Sport.
United are also said to be pursuing a move for Nice center-back Jean-Clair Tadibo. The 24-year-old is reportedly primed by United among possible defensive picks this summer. Nice is another outfit owned by Manchester United’s partial owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. It is believed the INEOS chief’s influence could play a big role in Man United’s chances of bringing Tadibo to Old Trafford.
Also, in Manchester United’s defensive options is Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt, 24. De Ligt has been linked to a summer exit from Bayern Munich following a change of hands in the Bavarians’ dugout.
De Ligt has two years left on his Bayern Munich contract but the club are reportedly ready to listen to offers for him.
Another Dutch footballer, Joshua Zirkzee is also on the Manchester United radar. United want Zirkzee to arrest the numb in the Man United attack that grounded the club’s campaign last season. Also, they want a replacement for Anthony Martial who has left the club as a free agent this summer

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk could be lured to the riches of Saudi Arabia. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are plotting a shock move for van Dijk and are ready to make the player the highest-paid defender in the world, as per Marca.
The Knights of Najd are hoping to stage a formidable challenge for silverware in the Saudi domestic campaign next season after running a trophy drought in the past two seasons.
Van Dijk is considered a top target by the club who are ready to break the bank for the player.
Van Dijk is now the third Liverpool player on the shortlist of European footballers wanted by Saudi clubs.
Arsenal and Chelsea Transfers
Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their attempt to sign highly-rated Sporting Lisbon forward Victor Gyokeres.
According to The Sun, Sporting Lisbon have slammed a hefty price tag on Gyokeres with Arsenal now ready to walk out of the move.
Chelsea have opened talks with Aston Villa for out-of-favour Colombian player Jhon Duran. Duran has managed just three appearances for Aston Villa since joining the club in 2023.
Chelsea have opened talks with Crystal Palace for Michael Olise. The Blues are the third club to contact the Eagles for the services of the youngster after Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have also indicated interest in the 22-year-old.
Chelsea could also lose Noni Madueke this summer. Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing a move for the player to strengthen their squad ahead of the next campaign.
