La Liga Best Front Three: Real Madrid – FC Barcelona

La Liga Club FC Barcelona, despite the issues of their financial crisis, have made improvements to their already star-studded team.

They made improving their center-forward a priority, prompting them to chase after Robert Lewandoski and eventually land their top target.

With the lure of great history and the offer of champions league football, many are still surprised they are still able to attract top-class athletes to the club despite not having the financial muscles to attract such caliber of players.

Real Madrid are the champions of La Liga. They lost out on their star transfer target, Kylian Mbappe, but they were not lacking in attacking options to begin with.

Karim Benzema was in the form of his life last season, exceeding all expectations to champion Real Madrid to a double last season.

The duo of Vinicius and Rodrygo were exceptional last season, in that they kept a player of Eden Hazard’s pedigree out of the team.

Centre Forward

Robert Lewandoski vs. Karim Benzema

Lewandoski and Benzema

Both are exceptionally talented strikers who have graced our screens for years. They are magicians in and around the box and can create and score decisive goals out of nothing.

They are not just the traditional poachers that we have gotten used to, but they are also adept at holding up play to bring their teammates into games.

Lewandoski might need a little time to adapt to the pace and technical changes he will experience in Barcelona, whereas Benzema already has an amazing working relationship in Madrid.

The jury comparing these two attackers is still out there, and we will surely enjoy the ensuing battle that will come up.

Verdict – (Draw)

Left Wing

Ansu Fati vs. Vinicius Junior

Fati and Vinicius

Fati and Vinicius are two young players who share similar qualities-lightning blistering pace and the ability to take on defenders.

Injury and inconsistency affected Fati’s season, but we are hoping to see a player who has had a lot of promise in his breakthrough season.

Vinicius Junior was a revelation for Real Madrid last season. It was his solo effort that won Real Madrid the Champions League last season, and we will all hope he can continue where he left off.

With this, we will slightly lean towards Vinicius.

Verdict – (Vinicius)

Right Wing

Ousmane Dembélé vs. Rodrygo

Dembele
Rodrygo Goes

This would be interesting, seeing that in this same position, Barcelona has recruited.

Raphinha is the new boy in town, but he will have his work cut out for him if he wants to displace Dembélé. Ferran Torres is also in the team and would also put in a good fight to stake a claim for space in the first team.

The French international had a rollercoaster first half of the season last term, but this did not affect his performance on the pitch.

Rodrygo scored some essential goals for Real Madrid, but he could not keep hold of a place in the starting lineup. He was in and out of the team but delivered spectacular performances at every opportunity.

Verdict – (Dembélé)

With this, we would be looking forward to the El Classico, which, as always, would be an amazing encounter between two European elite teams.
