Al Hilal have shaken the world of sports with the biggest football contract offer for Kylian Mbappe but it appears the Saudi side will sweat before they can agree terms with Kylian Mbappe.
With speculations on how the transfer standoff between PSG and the French star will evolve, Mbappe’s decision on Al Hilal’s offer has been confirmed.
As expected, PSG have accepted the offer and have granted Al Hilal the permission to speak with Kylian Mbappe.
Al Hilal officials have already flown into French capital Paris and are ready for talks with Kylian Mbappe.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Kylian Mbappe is reportedly not interested in talks or meeting with Al Hilal officials. The French star is resolute on his stand to run out his contract, sitting out on the bench throughout the upcoming 2023/24 season.
PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has stated he will ask Mbappe to accept terms with accepted suitors but it appears such pleas have fallen on deaf ears as the highly-rated forward seems to have made up his mind.
Al Hilal’s offer for Kylian Mbappe has been considered as a win-win deal for PSG and Kylian Mbappe in the faceoff between the two parties.
Mbappe has been offered the most lucrative one-year contract ever in football with an additional one-year extension clause but also with the freedom for him to join any club of his choice, including Real Madrid after one year.
As things stand, it is apparent Mbappe is not moved by the lucrative offer on table and is not ready for a move to Saudi Arabia.
PSG officials believe the French star has reached a secret deal with Real Madrid to join the club next season on a free transfer – a decision PSG have vehemently opposed.
Meanwhile, other top clubs are reportedly eyeing a move for him this summer. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal have all been linked to Mbappe this summer as tensions between him and PSG deepens.
Al Hilal closes in on Marco Verratti
Interestingly, Al Hilal are aiming for a double swoop on PSG top stars. Fabrizio Romano reports the Saudi club are closing in on a deal with Marco Verratti, one of the pariah players that has been axed off the PSG squad with Kylian Mbappe.
The report adds Al Hilal have submitted an undisclosed opening bid for Marco Verratti but PSG are yet to take a decision on the bid.
Al Hilal may not land a deal for Kylian Mbappe but may certainly sign Marco Verratti who has been axed off PSG squad plans ahead of next season.
