Kylian Mbappe reportedly asked Paris Saint-Germain to “dismantle” the “Argentine Republic” and declared his intention to take over as the club’s manager as per reports.
There is increasing tension between Mbappe and some of the prominent players on the PSG team, according to UOL Esporte.
According to the report, Mbappe’s teammates have referred to him as “pampered” and “unbearable.”
The “Argentine Republic” at the club, which comprises players like Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria, Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, as well as Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera and Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, is thought to have been a course of concern to Mbappe.
While Messi’s position within the team is virtually impenetrable, other players may soon find themselves unable to enter Parc des Princes.
Icardi and Paredes are rumored to be looking for a new team, while Di Maria has already moved to Juventus. Before the summer transfer window closes, it is also rumored that Herrera and Navas will be sold.
When Mauricio Pochettino was fired as manager, the so-called “Argentine Republic” began to fall apart. According to sources, Mbappe had a role in the process and was in favor of Pochettino’s replacement.
There were rumors that Mbappe supported Leonardo’s resignation as director of football as well.
According to reports, Mbappe wants to establish a “new order” at the Parisian club, much to what happened after Thiago Silva and Daniel Alves left.
Following the hiring of Christophe Galtier as the team’s new manager and the additions of striker Hugo Ekitike and defender Nordi Mukiele, it is thought that Mbappe is attempting to create a more “french” atmosphere in the locker room.
While there appear to be conflicts off the field, PSG’s most recent game exposed the on-field problem.
Mbappe missed a penalty, before PSG got another one. When Mbappe asked to take the ball, Neymar seized it instead. Fortunately for the Brazilian, he successfully executed the kick to give his team a 2-0 lead.
Along with the penalty incident, Mbappe was also seen running away from a potentially dangerous counterattack when teammate Vitinha failed to deliver the ball to him.
Galtier’s current challenge appears to be trying to maintain harmony between the two celebrities in the dressing room. PSG supporters want the team to finally win the coveted Champions League title, thus expectations are higher than ever.
Lionel Messi’s Reaction After Kylian Mbappe Bumped on Him Last Weekend
While playing against Montpellier in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi didn’t appear to be too happy when teammate Kylian Mbappe collided with him.
On Saturday night, Christophe Galtier’s team triumphed 5-2, earning all three points as a result of goals from Falaye Sacko (OG), Neymar (two), Kylian Mbappe, and Renato Sanches.
However, events unrelated to the score and a few involving goal scorer Mbappe cast a shade over the outcome.
After Saturday’s outcome, Brazilian forward Neymar ‘liked’ several tweets that were critical of Kylian Mbappe after the Frenchman missed a first-half penalty.
Twenty minutes later, PSG was awarded another penalty, which was easily converted by Neymar after a brief conversation with Mbappe, who appeared to want to take another spot-kick.
After the game was over, teammates reportedly had to separate the two players in the home changing room.
Since then, footage capturing the events leading up to that contentious penalty incident has surfaced.
