The PSG forward who took his astonishing and record-breaking stat to the World Cup may likely power France to another World Cup glory in Qatar.

Kylian Mbappe was instrumental to France’s win over Denmark in the group stage of Qatar World Cup. The Les Bleus proved too clinical and brilliant for Denmark to bear in the first half.

Despite losing possession to Denmark, they were obviously miles above the Danish team.

When in possession, they showed class, going for goal and ripping apart the Danish backline easily.

The first half ended barren, but France proved far superior for Denmark to handle.

The silky moves down the flanks, the composed midfield marshaled by Rabiot, and the threatening frontline led by PSG sensation Mbappe – all were nightmares for Denmark.

In the second half, while Denmark held on, it was pretty clear that France may soon take the lead with their superior performance.

In the 61s minute, Kylian Mbappe nailed it for the Les Bleus, with a guided finish in the Danish box after a perfect combination with Theo Hernandez.

But the lead was short-lived seven minutes after, with Denmark surprisingly hitting back quickly; Barcelona star Andreas Christensen had sent a long-range header past Hugo Lloris to equalize. But the goal invited more problems for Denmark as France increased their attempts to return to the lead.

It was not long before Kylian Mbappe scored his second to bag his brace and restore Les Bleus’ lead in the 85th minute.

Mbappe latched on Antoine Griezman’s cross to hit the ball into the net in a dramatic fashion. France defeated Denmark 2-1 after the goal.

It was a brilliant and clinical finish by the French and PSG talisman. Kylian Mbappe has now taken his tally with the French national team to 31 goals in all competitions at just 23-year-old.

This means he has topped the likes of Fontaine and Jean-Pierre Papin in the French goal-scoring chart.

Apart from his place in the French national team goal-scoring chart, Kylian Mbappe has well upset some World Cup records with just two matches into the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe has now matched Pele and Messi’s World Cup goals at 23 years. He has also surpassed Thierry Henry World Cup goals for France.

Before retirement, Thierry Henry scored six World Cup goals for France after playing in four editions of the tournament between 1998 to 2010.

With seven goals in nine World Cup games, Mbappe now has the same number as Messi in 20 games before Argentina’s World Cup game against Mexico and has now surpassed Thierry Henry.

Meanwhile, The Frenchman has not even played in two full tournaments and is ripping apart records and resetting them in the history books of the most important tournament in the world.

In Russia 2018, Kylian Mbappe scored four goals, and with just two games in Qatar, he has bagged three goals.

Along with Ecuador’s Enner Vaencia, Kylian Mbappe is the top-scorer in the tournament in Qatar, and there are chances more goals will follow after France makes it to the round of 16.
