Kylian Mbappe is focused on achieving success with his current team, and winning the Champions League is at the top of his list of goals.

The 25-year-old scored two goals as PSG defeated Barcelona 4-1 in a comeback victory to advance to the semi-finals with a 6-4 aggregate triumph on Tuesday, April 16.

Mbappé’s determination to bring glory to PSG shows his unwavering commitment and loyalty to the club, despite the constant speculation surrounding his future.

Following his impressive performance against Barcelona, the French Man told reporters about his dream of winning the Champions League for PSG.

Mbappe said: “I have the dream of winning the Champions League for Paris.”

“ I’m proud to be at PSG since the first day. It’s not because there are good times and bad times that my pride takes a hit. The pride of playing for this club, of representing the club of the capital of my country, it’s something special for me who grew up there.

“To experience an evening like this one as a Parisian, it’s great. We have one more step to go before we reach the final in Wembley, so we need to stay calm.”

Focusing on Kylian Mbappe, the Frenchman stood out in Tuesday’s League clash against Barcelona.

Despite this, much of the conversation centered around his potential departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

The lingering question is whether PSG winning the Champions League will influence Mbappe’s choice regarding his future.

However, in the interview, Mbappe was asked if a Champions League victory would impact his decision to stay or leave PSG when his contract ends, and his response was a straightforward “no.”

Mbappe speaks on Champions League semi-final clash with Dortmund

Kylian Mbappe has expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to defeat Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming Champions League semi-final first-leg match.

Mbappe was highly instrumental in PSG’s victory over Barcelona, eliminating the Catalan giant from the prestigious competition.

On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund achieved a thrilling victory over Atletico Madrid in the previous round.

Despite acknowledging the challenge that Dortmund presents, Mbappe highlighted the familiarity between the two teams, having faced each other in the group stage.

The France captain understands the difficulty of the upcoming match but remains optimistic about PSG’s chances of success.

“We are very happy, we are very, very happy. We wanted to win. We worked for six days with the idea that we were going to come here and win. And it’s the victory of a whole squad”, Mbappe told Canal+.

“And it’s one more step, one more step towards the final at Wembley. Now, we have a team, Dortmund. It’s very difficult because we have already played them in the group stage, but we will try to win the first match to start with.”

Whether the French Man stays or goes, he will continue to give his all for the team and strive to make history with his beloved club.

What’s next for Kylian Mbappe and PSG?

Mbappe will next be seen in Ligue 1 action as PSG take on Lyon on Sunday, April 21 at the Parc des Princes Stadium with kick-off time set at 8: 00 pm.
