Kylian Mbappe has broken another record in his young illustrious career so far, usurping Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani to become Paris Saint Germain all-time top scorer.
Mbappe took his tally for Paris Saint Germain to 201 goals for Paris Saint-Germain in a French Ligue 1 victory against Nantes on Saturday.
The Frenchman scored the fourth (4th) goal for Paris Saint Germain in their heated battle with Nantes which ended 4-2 for Les Parisians.
Paris Saint Germain organised a mini ceremony after the full-time whistle, with a big portrait of Kylian Mbappe shown at the Parc Des Princes.

Kylian Mbappe speaking after full-time said: “It’s very special to be here. The last time I was here was to announce I was staying [to extend his contract], it’s an honour to be here as the club’s top scorer.”
He continued his statements saying: “It’s a privilege to be a PSG player, to play in this historic shirt, for the biggest club in France.”
The 24-year-old met and went past Edinson Cavani’s record in less games as the Uruguayan played 301 games for Paris Saint Germain scoring 200 goals but Mbappe needed only 247 games to break the record.
Kylian Mbappe who was raised in Paris signed for Paris Saint Germain from A.S Monaco in 2017 for a world-record deal for a teenager.
He joined the capital based club for £180 million after his menacing season with Monaco. Mbappe hasn’t been without a cloud of controversy hovering around his head since he signed for PSG.
Controversy hovering around Kylian Mbappe
Just last season, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were involved in a hot transfer tussle with the player reportedly set to leave before he put pen-to-paper on a three-year-deal in May 2022.
He has also had reported clashes with his teammates upfront in the past with Neymar Jr being the name that has been reported.
Kylian Mbappe went home with the World Cup golden boot in December after ending the tournament as top scorer in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He scored eight (8) goals in addition to being just the second individual in the history of the tournament to score an hat-trick in the final of the World Cup after Geoff Hurst in the 1966 World Cup final.
However, France were defeated by Argentina in the final on penalties but Kylian Mbappe still stood out for France in the penalty shootout scoring his own penalty.
The Frenchman is four (5) goals behind German legend Miroslav Klose
The Frenchman is just four (4) goals behind record holder Miroslav Klose of Germany having led France to the World Cup title in 2018.
He has scored twelve (12) World Cup goals in total in two world cup outings for Les Bleus of France.
Mbappe scored twenty-seven (27) goals in sixty (60) appearances for A.S Monaco and twenty-one (21) goals in forty-four (44) appearances during his time on loan for Paris Saint Germain before switching permanently.
For France, Kylian Mbappe has scored a magnificent thirty-six (36) goals in sixty (66) appearances since making his debut in January 2017.
