After a comprehensive deal was reached last week, the French forward will join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

Everything that had been discussed in recent months was agreed upon, and Mbappe has successfully resisted the pressure from Paris Saint-Germain to sign a new contract.

Florentino Perez’s strategy has been evident throughout the season. He has kept Los Blancos out of the spotlight, believing in Mbappe’s desire to play for the club.

Even though he could have done so as of January 1, the Real Madrid president has resisted making direct contact with the 23-year-old.

Mbappe arrived in Madrid at the start of last week, and it became evident on Monday and Tuesday that a deal would be struck.

Jose Angel Sanchez, Real Madrid’s general director, assumed control of the discussions and made it the club’s top priority to complete the transaction.

Mbappe decided to join the club, and his advisors requested that Real Madrid wait until the transaction with PSG was finalized before proceeding

Real Madrid will remain silent until the player acknowledges that his time at PSG has come to an end and that his goal of joining Los Blancos has come true.

Mbappe’s free transfer fee will be insignificant compared to the 200 million euros they offered for him last summer.

PSG will need to invest in their team this summer, and they will be unable to do so due to Mbappe’s departure.

Five-year deal with Real Madrid

Mbappe will agree to a five-year contract with a multi-million dollar release clause. His wages will be lower than those offered by PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain completed one of the most significant transfer deals in club history on August 31, 2017. PSG paid €180 million to AS Monaco for current forward and superstar Kylian Mbappe, which included a one-year loan arrangement.

The €180 million transfer fee is the second-highest in club football history, trailing only Neymar’s €222 million move to PSG from FC Barcelona the previous summer.
