LeBron James hit a landmark record in his basketball career after he broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record to become NBA’s all-time highest points scorer.

The prolific basketball star and Los Angeles Lakers player broke the record for the number of points scored in the North American basketball league against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lebron James joined the NBA at the tender age of 18 in 2003. Although a nascent basketballer hitting the floor of NBA for the first time, he was a great bundle of talent and his skills and agility were unmatched.

Twenty years into the game, Lebron James has grown in leaps and bounds, smashing grits, and landing applause and admiration of basketball fans across the globe.

Before building an intimidating profile and establishing himself as one of the potent forces in NBA to be reckoned with, eagle-eyed coaches and tutors were able to spot the immense talent embedded in the young talent.

He was quickly nicknamed “The Chosen One” before he finally donned his basketball career with gilt-edged award and honors.

The ambitious young kid from Akron, Ohio has left no stone unturned in crawling the untouched crevices of the game and navigating his way through to the summit.

Lebron James has indeed built a superstar out of the little boy from Ohio with millions of followers across the globe in his 20 years journey into the NBA.

From “The Chosen One” to “King James,” Lebron capped his illustrious and sparkling basketball ball career with a stunner on Tuesday February 7, 2023. He scored 38 points for the Los Angeles Lakers to surpassed the 38,387 career points mark, unseating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from the throne of the best scorer in NBA history.

Before the game, Lebron James has already closed in on smashing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record. He needed just 36 points to displace the latter from the summit of NBA all-time highest scorers, and he did it in style.

Now, there are projections Lebron James’s new NBA record may now live till eternity, with the likelihood of having the record broken in the nearest future being very low.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, his predecessor, had held the record for over four decades. LeBron James needed few seconds remaining in the third quarter of the game to have the magic done.
