Manchester United are set to hand Kobbie Mainoo a mouthwatering deal with co-owners INEOS keen on keeping the youngster at Old Trafford.

Mainoo has become an integral member of Erik Ten Hag’s setup, and he has been lauded for the brilliance he has delineated this season.

Manchester United want Kobbie Mainoo to get an improved salary package, as they line him up as “one of the faces” of the new project under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group.

Based on transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, apart from the salary increase, the 18-year-old will also receive several add-ons in the new deal.

Romano tweeted: “Understand Manchester United are now pushing in talks to extend Kobbie Mainoo’s contract by this summer after initial discussions in February.

“INEOS want Kobbie to be one of the faces of the new project. New deal would see salary increase for Mainoo + several add-ons.”

The Englishman reportedly earns £20,000 per week, with that figure set to astronomically increase once he pens a new deal at Old Trafford.

Kobbie Mainoo has made 27 appearances for the Red Devils this campaign across all competitions, scoring 3 breathtaking goals and providing 2 assists.

His last goal for Manchester United came in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool on April 7, 2024.

Mainoo also received his first England call-up this campaign during the international break in March 2024, and he was menacing against Belgium and Brazil.

INEOS are prepared to continue Manchester United’s agelong principle of promoting young talents, and Kobbie Mainoo looks to be the next in line.

The England international has been with the Red Devils since the age of 9, and he has developed brilliantly through the ranks of the club.

Mainoo is one of many youngsters who are doing great for themselves, with Alejandro Garnacho being another honorable mention alongside defender Willy Kambwala.

Alejandro Garnacho liked two tweets from Manchester United fan and journalist Mark Goldbridge, where the Englishman criticized Erik Ten Hag for substituting the Argentine at half-time in Saturday, April 13, 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

Goldbridge also pointed towards the treatment of Garnacho by Ten Hag, indicating that the former Ajax boss threw the youngster under the bus.

Reports indicate that Alejandro Garnacho has escaped the wrath of his manager, after removing the “likes”, and he was pictured in training on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Manchester United believe his case is a completely different scenario compared to that of Jadon Sancho, with the on-loan Borussia Dortmund man said to have posted his to spite the manager, accusing him of dishonesty.

Sancho was subsequently banished from the first team, as part of disciplinary measures meted out to the attacker.

However, Alejandro Garnacho has been left off the hook, and free to prosecute the remainder of matches for Manchester United this season.
