Brentford striker Kevin Schade has been ruled out for several months due to a groin injury that requires surgery.
The German suffered a horrible injury during the warm-up before the match against Everton, which ended in a defeat for the Bees.
As confirmed by Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who claimed Kevin Schade will be out for months and it is going to be a big blow for the team going forward this season.
Frank also revealed the caliber of player Schade is, in his recent statement, saying, “He is a player we have big expectations for, and he was starting to show some of his fantastic abilities with a goal against Crystal Palace.”
Schade, who initially joined Brentford from Freiburg on loan in the January transfer window, made a permanent switch to the Bees for a fee of £22 million.
Since joining the football club, the striker has made 25 appearances, scoring just one goal in all competitions.
In addition, Thomas Frank also revealed the fact that defender Ben Mee is out for some weeks with a muscle injury.
Also, Brentford midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard has been required to see a knee specialist.
Despite a huge number of absentees, Frank is looking forward to putting up a strong squad against Arsenal when both teams meet in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup on September 27, 2023.
A win against Arsenal in the third round will boost the morale of the players despite the poor start to the 2023–24 season.
The Bees are currently in the 13th position on the Premier League table with six points from six matches.
