Katya, the wife of Ainsley Maitland-Niles insists the battle between Mason Greenwood and his girlfriend Harriet Robson “is not a race thing but a rape thing”

Katya, the wife of Arsenal right midfielder, Ainsley Maitland-Niles who is currently on loan at Roma has insisted that the battle between Mason Greenwood and his girlfriend Harriet Robson “is not a race thing but a rape thing”.

Katya who is popular as the lover of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Instagram model stated this while reacting to a racist comment a social media user made over the ongoing rape and assault scandal hanging on Greenwood’s neck.

Recall that recently, Greenwood’s estranged lover, Harriet Robson took to her Instagram story to share pictures and visuals that alleged that the Manchester United star sexually and physically assaulted her.

Since the images and videos which have been deleted on Robson’s Instagram page emerged on the internet, there have been a lot of diverse debate over the alleged attack on Robson.

Though many people have taken to social media to condemn the alleged action of Greenwood which has forced Manchester United to suspend him indefinitely, some have been trying to introduce racism to the plight the footballer is currently facing.

Recently, Katya took to her Instagram story to share a screenshot of a post by a social media user identified as Mbali that claimed that Greenwood’s football career has been destroyed due to the ongoing scandal.

Mbali also went on to describe Harriet Robson as “a paid white woman” whose mission was to destroy Greenwood’s football career using rape and physical assault allegations.

The social media user wondered how often “white players” are accused of rape and nothing is done about it.

She wrote: “And just like that, Mason Greenwood’s career as a professional footballer in finished, by a paid white woman, the aim is to destroy the black man at all cost, How many white players have been accused of sexual assault and nothing happened to them? black man, you’re on your own”.

Katya did not allow the post to go without responding to Mbali’s claims against Robson who is currently trying to cooperate with the police over the allegations she leveled against Greenwood.

In his reaction to the comment of the social media user, Katya, laughed off the comment before she described the social media user as “super ignorant”.

The 23-year-old Instagram model wrote: “Lol she sounds super ignorant!!! It’s not a race thing… it’s a rape thing. Such an awful thing to say.”

As at last check, Greenwood was still in police custody undergoing a police investigation over his alleged attack on his estranged girlfriend. At the time of publishing this report, the police were yet to arraign the suspended footballer in court.
