Malik Scott has told Jamie Carragher that he could take matters into his own hands if the Englishman upsets his girlfriend, Kate Abdo, again.
During the coverage of Arsenal’s last 16 second leg victory over Porto, Carragher evoked a massive stir with a remark about Abdo’s relationship with Scott.
Jamie Carragher told Kate Abdo that she was required to wear the Arsenal shirt he was donning during a part of the coverage.
Abdo objected to his request due to her love for Manchester United, having been born in Manchester, England, and has in the past reiterated her affection for the team.

The British sports broadcaster said she wouldn’t do so as she was “loyal”, Carragher then replied, “Loyal to who? Not to Malik?”
An extremely awkward silence then enveloped the room, before Kate Abdo responded: “What? Why would you even say that?”
The exchange became a major topical issue across social media, with fans of the CBS’s broadcast which covers the UEFA Champions League wading in on the conversation.
Anyway, Malik Scott, who is the trainer of former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has also chimed in on the controversy.
Scott shared that the issue was not treated as serious by the couple and he described Jamie Carragher as having a “runny mouth”.
The 38-3 fighter also added that the Liverpool legend was poor at “reading the room”.

Speaking to Lord Ping, Deontay Wilder’s trainer said: “I thought Jamie was just being himself, sometimes he can have a runny mouth, sometimes he’s not that good at reading the room, sometimes he’s someone that can make beyond sarcastic jokes and it comes across as digging a little bit, especially if you’re dealing with a woman.
“But I don’t take it personal, it did not enter our home, it really was nothing, but in those types of situations my concern is more about Kate and her feelings, she is someone I’m very much in love with, so once I saw how she handled it, me and her discussed it, and that was that.”
However, even though Malik Scott may have buried a seemingly non-existent hatchet with Carragher, he warned the Englishman not to upset his partner in the future.
The 43-year-old said: “It was not something I lost any sleep over because I noticed the way Kate handled it was very, very well, and Jamie was just being Jamie, and I have no problem with him.

“As long as Kate is happy, I have no problem. Now if he makes Kate upset then I have a serious problem and he’ll get a call from me, and if he doesn’t pick up my call I’ll show up in a physical manner for him.”
Moreover, about a day after Jamie Carragher’s comments, Kate Abdo appeared to have handled the situation perfectly with a soothing intro that was loved by many, where she indicated that the 46-year-old had apologized.
Abdo said: “Does he go too far sometimes? Absolutely. Does he apologize? Yes, he does. But all of us have that annoying family member that we all love and accept.”
The trio appear to be on good terms and they will be putting in the effort to ensure that their relationship goes smoothly.
