The German international reached personal terms with Arsenal weeks ago and was eager to complete a move to the club.

Before agreeing personal terms with the club, Kai Havertz is said to have given a nod to Mikel Arteta after the latter briefed him of the Arsenal project.

Havertz later opened up on his decision to leave Chelsea and open a new chapter in his career with Arsenal.

According to reports, Kai Havertz has agreed to a long-term deal with Arsenal and will earn around £210,000 weekly.

After intitial offers for the player was turned down, Arsenal were still on the trail of the player with reports emerging they were close to a deal.

Chelsea rejected Arsenal £50m first offer for Kai Havertz. They were ready to part ways with the player but at the right offer.

Now, as per Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have finally reached an agreement worth £65m.

Kai Havertz is now set for Arsenal medical which will be completed soon before the official unveiling by the club.

Havertz was Chelsea’s first team player, regularly starting for the club in all competitions this season.

He had two years remaining in his Chelsea contract but was determined to leave the club this summer after both parties failed to reach agreement on contract renewal.

Arsenal are said to have played a big role in Kai Havertz’s Chelsea exit. Sources close to the player revealed Arsenal promised to start Kai Havertz in either of his favorite role in the Gunners’ 4-3-3 attacking system.

ESPN reports Arsenal are ready to deploy Kai Havertz either as a no.8 or no.10 in the club’s attacking formation with Mikel Arteta giving the German international assurance of his place in the squad.

Kai Havertz will be deployed as attacking midfielder in Arsenal’s 4-3-3 system as per ESPN

Kai Havertz is an attacking midfielder but was forced to be used as a false nine in Chelsea lineup last season due to lack of strikers.

At the Emirates, Kai Havertz will return to his role and give his best while hoping to raise the bar in his career.

Kai Havertz is now Arsenal first Premier League signing this season and Chelsea’s fifth first team player to hit the exit door from Stamford Bridge.

N’Golo Kante has left the Blues for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. Out-of-favor Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, is on the exit lane with full agreement reached with another Saudi side, Al-Hilal.

Mateo Kovacic will be flying the Blue shirt of Manchester City next season after City and Chelsea reached agreement for the Croatian.

Kalidou Koulibaly is set to join his Chelsea pals in Saudi Arabia with Al Ahli being his next destination.

Hakim Ziyech will also join the exodus to Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr vying for his services for next season.

The mass exodus from Stamford Bridge is linked to the club’s preplanned attempt to downsize the overbloated squad this summer for a fresh new chapter with new manager Mauricio Pochettino next season.

In addition to the big names set to leave this summer, Chelsea have confirmed the exit of 13 players. Kai Havertz will now be the 16th name on Chelsea’s exit list with more departures expected in the coming days.
