Juventus appoints Andrea Pirlo as the new coach after firing Maurizio Sarri

Breaking news: Juventus fired their team manager Maurizio Sarri earlier today following the Champions League match that Juventus lost to Lyon. The loss means that Juventus has been eliminated from the 2020 Champions League by the french club side Lyon.

Juventus named Andrea Pirlo as their new manager earlier today and we were told that he signed a contract until the end of the 2021-22 season. Since this contract is only for 2 years, it means that Andrea Pirlo could also be fired from his job if he couldn’t deliver and get Juventus back to Champions League finals in his first year on the job.

In 2019, Sarri, 60 signed a 3 year deal with Juventus to succeed Massimiliano Allegri at the Old Lady.

Here is the breakdown of Sarri’s salary while he was still employed by Juventus. Sarri earns €6M, per year,  €500 K per month, €17.900 per day, €745 per hour and €13  per minute.
