Julia Roberts has reaffirmed her love for Manchester United after spending time with Erik Ten Hag and his Red Devils’ players.
Roberts, who is a superfan of the Red Devils, posed with manager Erik ten Hag and his star players months after Pep Guardiola named the Hollywood A-lister as one of his three idols in life.
Last season, Guardiola confirmed how heartbroken he was that Julia Roberts decided to visit Old Trafford instead of Etihad where the Spanish coach has been winning back to back Premier League titles.
The American actress risked upsetting Pep even further by visiting Manchester United players after their friendly match win over Arsenal in New Jersey and was even handed a personalized shirt.
Julia Roberts had previously visited Old Trafford in November 2016 to watch Manchester United who at the time were managed by Jose Mourinho.
Roberts visited Old Trafford with her cinematographer husband Daniel Moder and her three children, who we believed are United fans.
She was granted access for a second occasion and posed for photos with United boss Erik ten Hag and other stars at the MetLife stadium after Saturday’s friendly win over Arsenal.
Manchester United also presented her with a home shirt inscribed with the number one and Roberts on the back of it in a dig at their cross-city rivals.
On the Blue side of Manchester, it is a case of what could have been as Julia Roberts cemented her love for the red side of Manchester.
Fans rushed to comment on the post shared by Manchester United on their official Instagram handle, with the caption: “Always great to see you, @JuliaRoberts ❤️”
One comment in response, saying: “Somebody check on Pep Guardiola.” While the second added: “Pep is punching the air right now.”
The third fan added: “Pep is so jealous of Erik.” A fourth agreed: “Pep’s worst nightmare.”
Recall we reported that Guardiola revealed last season before City lifted the Champions League for the first time, that: “I am a failure in the Champions League, I’m sorry. I’m going to explain a secret.”
“Even if we win this Champions League or three in a row, I will be a failure. I have three idols in my life: Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Julia Roberts.”
“Julia Roberts came to England a few years ago in the period when Manchester United were not good, we were better, and she came to Manchester United, she didn’t come to us.”

Guardiola has grown close with City’s famous fans including Noel and Liam Gallagher down the years, but still wants to win Julia Roberts over.
She however congratulated Pep last season on Instagram, saying: “Congratulations @pepteam for leading your team to be UCL champions.”
