Away from their stuttering start to the season, Barcelona are not slowing down in the race for LaLiga title this season.
The Culers saw off Cadiz with a 1-0 narrow victory away from home to bag all three points and keep the pressure on league leaders and arch-rivals Real Madrid.
The Xavi Hernandez-led side went into the game trailing Real Madrid by 11 points after the Los Blancos dispatched Mallorca in the early game.
A draw or defeat for Barcelona against Cadiz would have seen the Catalans drift farther from the LaLiga title race with a few games (7) left to the end of the campaign.
Cadiz were a tough nut to crack but Joao Felix finally got the Catalans in front in the 37th minute after sustained pressure.
The goal was enough to separate the tie as both sides failed to find the back of the net after the goal. The hosts came across chances to find the leveler but squandered them.
Barcelona also had chances to double the lead and secure the lead but could not convert them.
However, it was another upbeat performance for the Xavi-led team as they closed the gap on Real Madrid to 8 points after the narrow 1-0 victory [WATCH VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS HERE]
The win has seen Barcelona racked up 70 points from 31 matches, 8 points shy of Real Madrid at the top.
They will return to competitive action on Tuesday, April 16 in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg against PSG.
