Jesse Lingard is currently training with Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq after also recently spending some time with West Ham United.
This latest transfer update on Jesse Lingard was reported by renowned football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano via his social media account.
The Englishman became a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season and might be on his way to Saudi Pro League.
Reports have it that the former United star was not interested in rejoining West Ham despite his previous successful spell at the club.
Jesse Lingard is reportedly training with the Saudi team and could link up with former England teammate Jordan Henderson if the deal pulls through.
“Jesse Lingard – The former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest man was never close to West Ham, he was just training there, nothing else,” Romano revealed.
“Now he’s training for Saudi side Al Ettifaq with Steven Gerrard’s approval. There’s no news yet on his future, let’s see what he decides to do and if Al Ettifaq decides to sign him.”

Jesse Ellis Lingard, an offensive English midfielder or winger who is currently without a club, was born on December 15, 1992, in England.
He has won the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, EFL Cup, and the UEFA Europa League. He is one of only three players to have scored in each of the last three championship games.
In 2012, while on loan at Leicester City, Lingard made his senior debut. He also spent time on loan at Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Derby County in 2013–14 and 2015–16 seasons.
Jesse Lingard made his debut for Manchester United’s first squad in 2015 under Louis van Gaal and remained a mainstay until 2019.
However, Lingard rediscovered his form in 2021 while on loan at West Ham United, scoring nine goals in 16 games.
He spent one more year at Manchester United before he was let go at the conclusion of the 2021–2022 campaign.
Prior to making his senior international debut in October 2016 and representing his nation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where England placed fourth, he represented England at the under-17 and under-21 levels.
Personal Life
His paternal grandparents left Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for England, where Lingard was born.
Gabby George, an Everton and England women’s international football player, is related to Lingard.
When Lingard was a little child, his parents divorced, and his grandfather took him to training and served as his main supporter.
He split his time between his mother, who battled depression and found it difficult to get out of bed, and his grandparents.
Lingard had to take care of his younger siblings, Jasper (brother) and Daisy-Boo (sister), for his mother’s mental health concerns.
Hope is the name of the daughter that Lingard and his ex-girlfriend and fitness model Rebecca Halliday co-parent.
