Jarmain Defoe reportedly split from wife, Donna

The 40-year-old former Tottenham and West Ham United striker got married to his wife, Donna in June 2022 before they abruptly halted their union.

The pair are now leaving in isolation with Defoe spotted alone spending his Christmas on the Caribbean Island of St Lucia while his divorced wife Donna remained at home in Glasgow.

The duo then met in person in January 2021 at a charity do, where Donna requested a signed shirt which he did.

And in seven months later after the meeting, Defoe proposed to Donna at a Glasgow hotel, inside a flamboyantly decorated room with heart-shaped balloons and rose petals that spelled out ‘Marry Me’.

Their marriage appears at first as infallible when Defoe posted his fondness and dedication to his wife online on June 21.

He wrote: “Dedicating my whole life to Donna Defoe was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to have a life of pure love and happiness.”

”Our wedding was like a movie and I thank god for blessing us both with such a special day with family and friends who mean the world to us.”

How His Marriage With Donna Crashed

The retired England player Jermain has had cheating rumors flying all over him.

Defoe had previously been accused of cheating with his ex-wife, Alexandra Burke.

And on July 14, a few weeks after his wedding, Jermain had allegedly already begun flirting with another woman.

According to the Sun report on Sunday, January 1st, Defoe was reported to have begged a nurse for sex just a month after getting married to Donna.

The report said Defoe contacted the 40-year-old nurse via Instagram and invited her to join him in his Range Rover just a month after his glamorous wedding with Donna.

However, the Spurs youth academy coach denied the cheating rumor at the time.

Meanwhile, a source told the Sun news outlets that they had been signals indicating that the union had been in shambles two months before they finally parted.

According to the Sun report, the source said: “The marriage seems to be in trouble. You would think they would want to spend their first Christmas together as husband and wife but they haven’t so things aren’t looking at all good.”

Donna has unfollowed Dafoe on Instagram and the beauty therapist later wrote in an Instagram story that she was glad to see the end of 2022 — and was “looking ahead” to the New Year.

She also suggested a mixture of love and disappointment as part of human nature as she posted: “Some people will take you out of the rain and dry you off, some will stand with you and some will turn the rain into a hurricane.”

According to reports, Donna has not been seen for some time at the couple’s £300,000 residence in Glasgow and many believed she’s staying with her parents nearby.
