Jarrod Bowen has reached an agreement on a new long-term contract with West Ham United according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The England international winger’s current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2025, but the Hammers have wasted no time in securing his services further following his impressive performance this season.
Bowen has already scored five goals in the first seven games of the Premier League and created two assists.
In addition, he was highly instrumental in West Ham’s success in the Europa Conference League last season.
Meanwhile, despite reported interest from Liverpool and Newcastle United, Bowen has chosen to remain with West Ham and has firmly committed his future to the club.
Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Bowen as a replacement for Mohammed Salah if the Egyptian leaves.
However, if the worst case does happen, and Mohamed Salah leaves the Merseyside club, then Liverpool will have to look elsewhere.
The 26-year-old has been in impressive form, leading to his inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the first time since September 2022.
He will be joining the Three Lion team for the upcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
And Fabrizio Romano has reported that Bowen is set to sign a new deal with West Ham, adding to his reasons to celebrate.
Romano added that Bowen was eager to remain a crucial part of the club’s project.
The additional years agreed upon and other details surrounding the new agreement are yet to be revealed.
Bowen’s contributions for the Hammers have been significant. He scored the winning goal in the Conference League final against Fiorentina in June.
He has also played a vital role in West Ham’s progress in the Carabao Cup and their successful start to the Europa League group stage this season.
Currently, West Ham sits in seventh place in the Premier League table, with their only losses being against Manchester City and Liverpool.
Jarrod Bowen’s significant impact since joining West Ham
The England forward completed a transfer to West Ham from Hull City in January 2020.
Since then, he has represented the club in 166 matches, scoring 45 goals and providing 33 assists.
Additionally, Bowen has played for England four times and has recently been selected by Gareth Southgate to join England national team for the upcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
With Bowen’s commitment to the club, West Ham can anticipate more achievements in the future.
Notably, Bowen secured victory for the team in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina last season, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 triumph to claim the trophy.
What’s next for Bowen and West Ham United?
The Hammers will host one of Bowen’s suitors, Newcastle United in a premier league clash at the London Stadium today, October 8, with kickoff set at 2pm.
