Jamie Vardy of Leicester City is recovering from the hernia operation he recently underwent that kept him out of the club’s game against Everton on Wednesday. He took to Instagram to share a picture of himself sitting on the bed with his wife Rebekah to show how he has been recovering from the operation.

Rebekah sat on the bed with a compression sleeve tie to her leg. She is competing in the current series of ‘Dancing On Ice’. She has been married to Vardy since 25 May 2016.

Jamie Vardy and Rebekah have three children together – Sofia, Finlay, and Olivia Grace. The 38-year-old model has two children – Megan and Taylor before she settled with Vardy. The Leicester City’s star also has a child, Ella, from another woman.

As for Jamie Vardy’s current health status, the 34-year-old former England international underwent surgery to treat a hernia last Saturday, January 23, 2021. After the surgery, he was forced to miss Leicester City’s league match against Everton on January 27. The match ended 1-1.

Though he said he is “recovering well” according to the caption of his Instagram post, the striker will miss Leicester City’s league match against Leeds United scheduled to take place on January 31. He might also miss Leicester’s league match against Fulham.

However, he is expected to be fully ready for Leicester’s league game against Wolves scheduled to take place on February 7. Leicester City’s coach Brenden Rodgers affirmed that Jamie Vardy is making progress in his recovery process.

“Jamie’s six days post-operation,” the coach said. “Having been sore initially after the operation, I saw him after training in the gym today, so he’s progressing really well.

“We’re on schedule to meet the deadline we’ve got. We were looking to hopefully get him training towards 10 days (after the operation), so he’s on course for that.

“We’re just looking closely at his rehabilitation. He’s progressed really well over these last few days. We haven’t earmarked a game yet (for a return), but we’ll look more closely at that next week.”

Jamie Vardy has scored 13 goals in all competitions in the 2020-2021 season including 11 in Leicester’s Premier League campaign.
