Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher took to his Twitter page to praise Sadio Mane who’s heavily linked with a switch to Bayern Munich.
According to Jamie Carragher, the Liverpool man is his favorite player in the current era and also a true legend for Liverpool.
Mane’s transfer to Bayern Munich will soon be finalized after the German champions reached a €40 million agreement with Liverpool.
The Senegal captain has already disclosed that his time at Liverpool is over. He announced this ahead of the 2021/22 Champions League final against Real Madrid while stating that he wants a new challenge.
Bayern Munich seems to be the only club interested in signing the 30-year-old forward who could be a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The German club are aware of Lewandowski’s desire to leave this summer so they are searching for a new player to strengthen their forward area.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has stated that Sadio Mane is worthy of winning the next Ballon d’Or. Mane had an amazing 2021/22 season for both club and country. He helped Senegal to win the African Cup of Nations and qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Mane also played an important role in Liverpool’s attack last season as he helped them to finish second in the English Premier League. They also finished as the first runner-up in the Champions League after losing 1-0 to Real Madrid.
Although Liverpool missed out on the most important trophies the team ended the season with the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
“Sadio Mane is part of the new generation of attackers who know how to do everything,” Vieira told Wiw Sport recently. “He scores goals, he knows how to defend, he knows how to run in-depth. He is a hard worker in the field. He is one of the modern attackers. For me, he should be considered for the Ballon d’Or.
“He is one of those great players who can win it. I saw him every weekend in the Premier League and for me, he is one of the great European strikers.”
Vieira also reacted to Mane’s recent transfer rumors saying: “I think he has his head on his shoulders to make the best decision.
“Should he stay or go? It’s up to him to make that decision. But he is a player that I admire in relation to his talent as a footballer, but also in relation to his talent as a man.”
