The 37-year-old joined Liverpool in 2015 from Manchester City and has since won every domestic prize available including the Premier League.

They added: “Best of luck for the future. All the ground staff”.

In response to the groundsman’s present, Milner took to his Twitter page and posted an image of the gift with a caption; “What a gift that is! No pressure there then, I better get my scissors and pink ruler back out”.
