Borussia Dortmund‘s right-winger, Jadon Sancho could land in the Premier League this summer if his current club and his most likely next destination, Manchester United, agree on a transfer fee.

The latest reports from Germany claimed that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are close to agreeing on a figure that would see the England international move from Dortmund to United.

However, the difference between the fee Manchester United are willing to pay and the amount Dortmund are willing to accept from the Premier League club is £11 million.

Recall that the Bundesliga side intends to collect nothing less than £86 million from United before the club can allow Jadon Sancho to leave the club. While Manchester United are proposing to pay the sum of £75 million including add-ons for the services of the winger.

Dortmund has made the deal a bit difficult for Manchester United because the Bundesliga club wants the Premier League side to pay £86m upfront and then pay the add-ons when the deal has been sealed.

Reports in Germany said Manchester United are likely to pay what Borussia Dortmund are asking for especially now that the difference between the standpoints of the two clubs is just less than 12 million pounds.

It is also believed that once the two clubs agree on a figure for the transfer deal, agreeing on personal terms with Jadon Sancho might not be an issue for United.

Jadon Sancho who is currently with England’s national team ahead of the Euro 2020, has been at Borussia Dortmund since August 31, 2017. He left the Manchester City youth system to join the Bundesliga club for a transfer fee worth €7.84 million.

In the just-concluded 2020-2021 season, the winger made 38 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund in which he scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists.

When asked about how wanted he has become in the transfer market, the 21-year-old English youngster said it was normal for a player to be linked to a series of speculations especially when the footballer is doing well.

“You know, there’s always going to be speculation, especially when you do well”, Sancho told TalkSport.

“It’s just how you handle that on the pitch and just keep doing what you’re doing.

“If you keep on doing that then I’m sure that won’t be a problem because the main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focused on at the moment.”
