Dani Ceballos who was sort after by a number of clubs over the summer has revealed why he decided to go for Arsenal. Ceballos was widely linked with a move to Anfield and revealed his reason for snubbing a move to join the Reds is because of manager Jurgen Klopp. According to the attacking midfielder, Jurgen Klopp’s philosophy was what turned him away.

The Spaniard has had a good run thus far this season up until a hamstring injury sidelined the ambitious midfielder. During his spell on the sidelines, Unai Emery who was keen on bringing the player to North London was sacked and replaced with Mikel Arteta.

Since Arteta’s run at the Emirates, Caballos has played only one game during Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup. Speaking on his time thus far at Arsenal and why he snubbed Liverpool, the 23-year-old believes the Reds were more interested in landing him than the Gunners but believes he doesn’t suit Klopp’s style of play.

“That a club like Liverpool loves you is a pride, but my decision was to go to Arsenal because Emery grabbed my hand and told me to go together,” said Ceballos.

“Klopp is a great coach but you have to see the game philosophy of each team. Right now players of my philosophy of play wouldn’t fit in a team like Liverpool in the best possible way. But that you are related to the greats is because you are doing things right.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal Players have praised new manager Mikel Arteta for his communication and sense of direction with the club.
