Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis, who recently denied being guilty of committing a brazen insider trading scheme, has a fortune worth £5 billion.

Lewis coughed out £22 million to buy the majority of the controlling stake in Tottenham Hotspur from Lord Sugar in 2001. According to Forbes Magazine, Lewis is worth £4.7 million.

The Tottenham owner, who is also a self-made billionaire, spent his money on something else apart from the acquisition of football.

After leaving school at the age of 15, he went to work for his father’s catering company. One of his father’s restaurants is Northumberland Grand.

Lewis was in charge of a super club known as Talk of the Town, where world-famous musician like Frank Sinatra performed in the 1960s and a girl group called the Nolans performed their first live show.

After a while in the Entertainment industry, he got a taste for business and took over his father’s restaurant before selling it for a whopping £30 million.

He used the money to invest in currency trading and was named the Boxer due to his wild success and power in the investment ring.

One particular investment on Black Wednesday in September 1992 helped him to be super rich, as he successfully bet on the pound crashing out of the European Exchange rate as Britain tried to align it with other Euro countries.

Lewis became a billionaire overnight, and his financial method worked over the years. Lewis founded the Bahamas-based investment firm Tavistock Group, which he made one of the most dominant private equity firms in the World.

Apart from his investment, Joe Lewis has a yacht worth £190 million that is capable of hosting up to 16 guests.

It is also equipped with different things like Aviva’s exterior relaxation area and a cool swimming platform that can open up in the sea to fit the Caribbean lifestyle.

Also, the Yacht has a speedboat and jet skis. Lewis Yacht is the 46th longest yacht in the World and has a full-size indoor tennis court.

These art collections were made by artists like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Francis Bacon. The Art Collections are worth £777 million.
