Christian Cueva has been fired by Club Cienciano a few days after he signed for the Peruvian side.
Cueva’s dismissal from the club comes following allegations of domestic abuse and infidelity leveled at him by his wife Pamela Lopez Solorzano.
Speaking on a TV show, Pamela expressed that she was scared for her life and had suffered for many years.
Her assertions came before she reported her husband Christian Cueva to the police, accusing him of regular physical and psychological attacks.

Moreover, speaking on American Hoy, as quoted by Spanish media outlet Marca, Pamela narrated her domestic abuse plight.
Pamela Lopez Solorzano said: “There were slaps, hair pulling, pushing.
“The last thing was that he was suffocating me, covering my mouth and nose, strangling me by the neck. He always said insults and swears and then came back repentant.
“I fear for my life. One of them (violent episodes) was when I discovered an infidelity; and another, days before my birthday.”
Pamela Explains It Was Difficult For Her To Pursue The Matter Legally
Pamela added that deciding on taking legal means to pursue the domestic violence matter was a complicated choice for her to make.
She shared: “For me, it was a very complicated decision, very difficult, it took me many years to make it.
However, Pamela Lopez claimed that she had to follow this route for herself, her children, and women who are also facing issues of domestic abuse.
Christian Cueva’s wife said: “But I made it for myself, for my children, and for all the women who suffer the same thing that I have suffered for many years.
“I have been subjected to their manipulation. I will continue to file my complaint to the very end, for myself and for my children.”
In 2018, Pamela Lopez Solorzano accused Cueva of infidelity, alleging that he had cheated on her with Peruvian pop star Pamela Franco Viera.
Footage posted by Marca apparently showed Christian Cueva assaulting wife Pamela in a lift before a man intervened.
Another video posted by AS appeared to show them involved in an ugly scene, as they were spotted fighting.
Cueva, who has made 100 appearances for the national team of Peru, has denied being an “abuser”, however, he admitted there was no tenable excuse for his behavior.

“For all this, for what happened, what happened differently, and even for what did not happen, I apologise.”
Concerning his engagements in football, the former Saudi Pro League star said: “While the truth is sought and found in the appropriate authorities, I ask please to be allowed to play football, that this option not be taken away from me, because it is, along with my children, whom I love beyond what has been said, what sustains me.”
