Houston Dynamo signed another player and his name is Thiago Fernandes Rodrigues

Houston Dynamo is trying to improve the year’s MLS record early, as a result, they have decided to add Thiago Fernandes Rodrigues to the team. Thiago plays as a forward and he will help Houston with scoring more goals in the league.

Thiago joined the Houston Dynamo’s first team as the new MLS U-22 initiative on a loan from Flamengo.  Flamengo football club is one of the largest football clubs in Brazil and that means, he will walk in to have an immediate impact on the team.

“Thiago is an exciting young talent joining us from one of the biggest clubs in the world. We anticipate that he will compete for minutes this season with the hope of earning a permanent spot with our club next year,” said Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad. “The city of Houston already attracts some of the most talented people in the Hemisphere to our world-class energy, medical, and aerospace industries, and our club’s recruitment efforts are no different. We want to be the preferred gateway for high potential players from North, Central, and South America and help them realize their dreams of playing at the highest levels.”

Thiago’s achievements

  • 60 matches across all competitions in Brazil
  • Flamengo at the U-20 level and joined the pilot U-18 Brazilian National Team for a training camp in 2019
  • The Dynamo now has 26 players on the roster for the 2022 MLS regular season.
