Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru has become father of two after his wife welcome their baby girl.

Onyekuru shared a post on his official Instagram status with the caption: “My princess is here.” He added: “I love you.”

Onyekuru was not with his wife during the delivery as he just returned to training after just joining Galatasaray on loan from Monaco. Esty has been in Canada for several months preparing for the birth of her daughter.

Onyekuru and Esty have been together for several years  but wedded in July 3019. The wedding took place in the city of Benin in Edo state, and was quite extravagant with many Nigerian celebrities in attendance. Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze was at the event and made it rain on the groom. Kenneth Omeruo, Oghenekaro Etebo, Jamilu Collins, and John Ogu were some of his Super Eagles teammates who attended the wedding ceremony as well.

On 30 June 2017, Onyekuru joined Everton for £7 million and was immediately sent on loan to Anderlecht. The 22-year-old left Everton in August 2019, two years after joining them due to his failure to secure a work permit in England.

Onyekuru had been handed the number 9 jersey at Anderlecht for the 2017–18 campaign. Onyekuru won the Super Lig and the Turkish League Cup in his first stint at the club in the 2018-19 seasons.

Having scored 10 goals in 28 matches for Anderlecht, Onyekuru suffered a knee ligament injury in December which would require surgery. Anderlecht announced surgery would be necessary and that he would be out of action “for several months.” In July 2018, Onyekuru joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan. The loan fee paid to Everton was reported as £700,000.

The forward who is on loan at Galatasaray also shared a couple of photos of his wife with her baby bump.

The new bundle of joy is Onyekuru and Esty’s second child. The couple also has a two-year-old son.

The Super Eagles winger recently re-joined Turkish League giants Galatasaray on a short term loan deal from AS Monaco after he made only four appearances for the French League side with one assist credited to him in the first half of the season.
