Harry Kane has bagged his first Bundesliga hat trick as Bayern Munich thrashed Bochum 7-0 on Saturday, 23rd September 2023.
The England captain scored three goals against Bochum at the Allianz Arena proving once more that he’s one of the best strikers ever.
Not only did the former Tottenham striker bagged his first hat-trick, he also became the first player to score 6 goals for Bayern Munich in the first 5 matches.
The Bundesliga giants took the lead just four minutes into the match when Eric Choupo-Moting opened the scoring.
Matthijs de Ligt and Leroy Sane scored a goal each to further put the match beyond the reach of the visitors.
Harry Kane scored again but this time from the penalty spot to make it 5-0, before Mathys Tel’s goal made it 6 for the home team.
The Englishman did not stop there, he scored Bayern Munich’s 7th goal of the evening to complete his hat trick and also break the Bavarians record.
Recall we reported that Kane scored in their Champions League matchup with Manchester United which ended in a 4-3 victory.
This means that Harry Kane has now scored seven goals in 6 matches for his new club – the first player to do that in a Bayern Munich jersey.
Harry Kane has been directly involved in Bayern Munich’s eight league goals so far this season, scoring 6 and assisting twice.
Kane becomes the second player to match that feat since 2004 after Erling Haaland who scored in his first five games in Bundesliga.
The goals was Kane’s first domestic league hattrick since December 2017, after he bagged three goals against Burnley and Southampton consecutively.
This win means that Thomas Tuchel’s men have bagged 4 wins and one draw in their first five games and are topping the Bundesliga table with 13 points.
This is not the first time Bayern is beating Bochum this heavy, it has been a routine winning since 2021.
Bochum on the other hand, are looking for their first win of the season after the battering by Harry Kane led Bayern.
