Arsenal center-back, Gabriel Magalhaes has revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had issues with the coaches of Arsenal before he left FC Barcelona.
Recall that Aubameyang used to be the captain of Arsenal football club. Things fell apart for the 32-year-old Gabonese striker when he breached the club’s disciplinary protocol late last year.
Due to that, he was sidelined until he left Arsenal during the January transfer window. He joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer after Arsenal terminated his contract on mutual ground.
In an interview with Ohmygoal (via football. London ), Gabriel Magalhaes revealed that Aubameyang had no issue with the players at the club. Even when Aubameyang was stripped of Arsenal’s captaincy, he remained a nice guy according to Gabriel Magalhaes.
“Aubameyang is in my heart, we all wanted him at Arsenal,” Magalhaes said.
“It’s something that happened between him and the coaching staff, the other players weren’t in it.
“I said goodbye to him before he left, I hope he enjoys Barcelona, he is a very nice person with a big heart and I love him very much.”
